The philosophy of our Association is that as members of this community and as real estate professionals we are on the front lines of providing affordable housing. The Snohomish County REALTOR® Homeless Endowment Fund was established in 1991. The fund provides rental security deposits and emergency housing vouchers to individuals and families in need of housing. Many families or individuals qualify for a rental, but need assistance with the security deposit so they can get into their new home, and who otherwise might be homeless.
The Snohomish County-Camano Association of REALTORS® is run by a Board of Directors, elected by their peers to maintain the integrity of the Association and it’s interests. The newly elected 2012 Board of Directors will soon be installed to their new positions. In addition, the 2011 SCCAR REALTORS® of Honor awards will be presented, including REALTOR® of the Year and the Frank Nardo Achievement Award.
Snohomish County Food Banks have come to depend heavily on the annual REALTOR® Food Drive. REALTORS® and SCCAR Affiliates come together every Fall to gather tens of thousands of pounds of food for local families in need. The REALTOR® offices who gathered the largest amount of donations will be announced and honored at this time.
