The purpose of the SCCAR Government Affairs Committee is to coordinate and promote legislation within Snohomish County recognizing private property rights and the interests of the real estate industry, and to defend against legislation, which is detrimental to property rights and the ability of families to purchase homes.

RPAC Committee:
  • Meetings are the 2nd Friday of each month
Through the Association’s political action committee-RPAC, REALTORS® organize themselves for effective political action and support candidates for election to legislative and executive offices. RPAC promotes and strives for the improvement of government by encouraging REALTORS® and the public to take a more active and effective part in local politics. RPAC encourages voluntary investments in the REALTORS® political fund.

Our Association has developed a program to foster relationships between local elected officials and REALTOR® members. If you are interested in helping elected officials understand REALTOR® issues we need your help. We also put together small teams to interview local elected officials and make recommendations on Association endorsements. It is strongly encouraged that members of these teams be RPAC contributors.
